A Year of Flowers 2015 – Week 9 at Emily Lupita Studio
Week 9 of my A Year of Flowers art project.
I’ve missed painting my Guadalupes! With a whole year of flowers ahead of me, I needed to find a way to incorporate Lupita into the design.
I’m thinking this is my first artistic “breakthrough” of this massive painting project – the guidelines of the project helped push me toward something new. “Necessity is the mother of invention.”
I used Sakura ink & antique Irodori Japanese watercolors to paint the the vase & flowers (above), then added a background of handmade Japanese paper (below) to create this art print.
[ This art print is now available here in my online art shop.]
May your garden be full of flowers,
❤ ~Emily Lupita
